Abstract

Romania benefits from a modern and efficient banking system, strongly involved in the development of the economy. However, a large share of total lending is borne by population, but Credit Institutions have tightened lending standards for the population. Credit Institutions have tightened lending standards for the population, although a large share of total lending is borne by population, and the young generation has an important place in it. The main objective of the paper is to determine the perception of young people about the Romanian banking system, what will be their behavior in relation to credit institutions, what is the influence of credit on economic growth, and to focus on sustainable development and to determine the right measures to relaunch the economy. Young peoples have frequent links with banks, using a wide range of banking services. The low use of credit is also explained by the fact that students have less access to credit, especially when they are not employed. In Romania, compared to other European states, credit for studies for young people's vacations are poorly developed. So, domestic consumption is a major factor in the economic growth, at the expense of investments and the contribution of the external balance.
