Abstract

Prudential supervision of credit institutions by the national authority leads to better their financial stability, especially in times of financial crisis. Governance and bank resolution of credit institutions posing systemic importance are two distinct functions that are monitored by the central bank as the national supervisory authority of the banking system.. Identify risks and vulnerabilities of the banking system's financial components are an important task of the national supervisory authority. Banking Resolution as extreme activity may be a consequence of ineffective corporate governance of credit institutions. The emergence and development of failures in corporate governance of financial institutions and inadequate allocation of funds to support their activities may affect the financial stability of credit institutions and hence the banking system.
