Introduzione a Franco Modigliani economista

Abstract

Il saggio esplora l'intreccio fra i principali teoremi della teoria neokeynesiana di Franco Modigliani, da cui egli trae i principi di politica fiscale e monetaria. Innanzitutto quello per cui il volume del risparmio del Paese dipende dall'accumulo e de-cumulo durante il ciclo della vita degli individui, e quello per cui la composizione del capitale delle imprese in azioni od obbligazioni a livello teorico è indifferente. Al primo teorema si collega quello del debito pubblico come onere futuro, in quanto intacca il risparmio, che dipende dal ciclo vitale. La crescita del mercato comporta la riduzione dei prezzi degli oligopoli, perché il loro dominio ha un limite nello spazio che lasciano per l'entrata di nuovi offerenti. In deflazione e stagflazione, occorre offerta di moneta onde ridurre la disoccupazione al tasso naturale, ma la crescita ha bisogno della stabilità monetaria per rimuovere il costo differenziale del credito.
