Efficacité des programmes publics en microfinance et inclusion financière. L’exemple du Bénin

Abstract

After having undergone significant development, microfinance is now being questioned in so much as the current practices in the sector have failed to meet all the financial service needs of populations who are excluded from the traditional banking system. In this context, some countries have tried to limit these shortcomings by introducing a different type of intervention in which the state?s role has been rethought. Through the Beninese context, this article aims at identifying the benefits and the drawbacks of the state?s return as a direct actor in microfinance.
