L'influence du contexte sur le choix de la stratégie d'implantation

Abstract

In order to decide on the entry mode in a foreign country, managers have to study its determinants. The choice of an entry mode could be influenced by the context of implementation. The study of contextual influence cannot be excluded from strategic decisions. The goal of this study consists on bringing some elements of reflection about the entry mode choice, and studying the specificities related to the context of implementation. This paper shows that the choice of an entry mode depends at least on three determinants: multinational firm objectives, risk perceived, and contextual specificities, which have a strong influence on the choice of an entry mode.
