Abstract

Michel Marchesnay, Salma Chabchoub Kammoun, Henda Ellouze Karray The Mediterranean area is commonly assumed as somewhat reluctant to entrepreneurship. That opinion is based on historical and cultural features, with some distinction between eastern and western areas. The word ?entrepreneurship? comprises two meanings: first, the ?spirit of enterprise?, including risk, uncertainty and profit; second, the entrepreneur, as an owner manager, more or less enterprising, according to his logic of action, whatever ?patrimonial?, ?managerial?, or ?enterprising?. Based on three contexts, in Languedoc and Tunisia (geographic, sectorial, and conglomeral), empirical cases suggest rather evidence that the three entrepreneurial logic coexist on a similar manner, whatever the western Mediterranean country.
