Abstract

This article examines the evolution of inequalities in occupational injury in France, with a view to identifying available action tools and improving prevention for certain priority groups. Using econometric modelling (logit, hurdle model) on the 2010 and 2017 waves of the Sumer survey, we examine whether the interdependencies between exposure to occupational risks (physical and psychosocial constraints) and work-related accidents have changed, while controlling for changes in job structure. We find that they have remained strong and stable. The upward trend in exposure to psychosocial risks is therefore worrying in itself, and for the fight against workplace accidents.
