Abstract

We evaluate the impact of French pension reform of 2010 on the rate of departure of retired men mobilizing a model that incorporates the component method used for population projections. We assume that obtaining the ?full rate? is the fact that triggers the liquidation rights. We distinguish fifteen starting grounds. We use data from retirements in 2005 to calibrate the model and labor forces survey from Insee to project to 2020, these departures. The reform of 2010 leads to a rather sharp increase in the average age of retirement, thus highlighting a dilemma effectiveness/equity compared to the low effectiveness of lengthening the period of insurance.
