Les élites économiques dans les cabinets de gouvernement au Maroc de 1986 à 2016

Abstract

This article examines how economic elites from both the public and private sectors assume ministerial positions. Statistical results from a quantitative analysis suggest three competitive advantages that economic elites have over the rest of the cabinet members: stability in office, larger ministerial departments, and assignment to productive policy sectors. This study contributes to the literature on ruling coalitions between political and economic elites by investigating how they form in the executive branch of the Moroccan political system before and after 2011.
