Aspects pratiques et théoriques de l'entrepreneur dans la vie et l'œuvre de Jean-Baptiste Say

Author

Listed:
  • Gérard Minart

Abstract

In the history of economic thought, Jean-Baptiste Say distinguishes himself in being a theoretician and practitioner of the enterprise. Moreover, he also taught the entrepreneurial spirit in the last years of his life. We may therefore find in his writings a theory of production and exchanges and a modern theory of the enterprise. This places him at the forefront of the economists who focused on the entrepreneur. This paper presents two faces of Jean-Baptiste Say : Jean-Baptiste Say as an entrepreneur and Jean-Baptiste Say as a theoretician of the entrepreneur. JEL Codes : B12, B13, L26
