Analysis of Performant European Strategies and Practices in Employment and Training - Correlated with Flexicurity Labour Market Demands and Sustainable Economic Recovery

The global impact of the financial and economic crisis has shown that economic realities are moving faster than political ones. The crisis has wiped out years of economic and social progress and made us aware of the deficiencies of the European economy, especially the Romanian ones. The necessity for clear, consistent strategies appeared; strategies that would reduce, or even eliminate obstacles, gaps and all kinds of tensions that may slow down or even block the development process and that could turn the EU into a smart, sustainable economy favorable to inclusion is characterized by high levels of employment, productivity and social cohesion. In the last two years, in Europe, millions of people have lost their jobs. We still have to endure for many years the burden of debt, generated by the crisis that put new pressures on our social cohesion. The crisis has also exposed the fundamental truths about the challenges that the European economy is facing. Meanwhile, the global economy evolves and our future will depend on the European response. The author's aim is to suggest the forming of a compact package of pragmatic solutions to mitigate the effects of the economic recession and the subsequent creation of social-economic preconditions necessary for a sustainable and lasting development in the European Union, with direct applicability in Romania. The major objective of this work is to disseminate and analyze some European strategies and practices in employment and vocational training, in correlation with flexicurity labor market demands and sustainable economic recovery, after the current global crisis - starting from a careful and pertinent analysis of the objectives and directions imposed on the Union by the "Europe Strategy 2020", to a brief review of theoretical bases and various ways of interpretation and implementation of the flexicurity labor market concept in the EURO area.
