Biblioteca Facultăţii de Litere din Bucureşti la 150 de ani de la întemeierea instituţiei – 1863-2013

Abstract

În anul 2013 s-au aniversat 150 de ani de la înființarea Facultății de Litere din București și, în acest context, articolul prezintă un scurt istoric al Bibliotecii acestei instituții de prestigiu din România. Începuturile sale se situează la finalul secolului al XIX-lea, când ia naştere în cadrul Facultăţii de Filosofie şi Litere o bibliotecă de specialitate la Catedra de Limbi Slave. Donația de cărți din 1892 către seminarul de slavistică, dar și eforturile ulterioare ale profesorului Ioan Bogdan, decan al Facultății, au stat la baza deschiderii în 1907 a Bibliotecii propriu-zise a Facultății, dar şi a dezvoltării constante înregistrate de această Bibliotecă pe parcursul a mai mult de un secol de existență
