    Bibliotecile de azi se confruntă cu numeroasele provocări ale unui univers informaţional aflat într-o expansiune rapidă. Creşterea aşteptărilor şi nevoia utilizatorilor pentru un acces mai rapid şi mai uşor la informaţiile relevante sunt în relaţie permanentă cu cerinţele instituţionale pentru creşterea eficienţei operaţionale. Sistemele integrate de bibliotecă oferă tuturor tipurilor de biblioteci instrumente accesibile şi asistenţa de care au nevoie în fluxul de lucru pentru a satisface cerinţe personale şi instituţionale în prezent şi în viitor. Sistemele integrate pot fi configurate astfel încât să satisfacă aproape orice politică de bibliotecă sau procedură şi care să permită crearea unui flux de lucru unic
