Paštunský fenomén afgansko-pakistanského pohraničia

Abstract

Silné väzby na historický vývoj v spojení s etnickými a náboženskými faktormi vždy mali vplyv na vývoj Afganistanu. Tieto faktory sa dostali do popredia najmä v dôsledku existencie Paštunov - štátotvorného väčšinového etnika. Jeho pôsobenie dominantne určovalo prioritu tradície nad modernou, a tým aj zložitosť cesty k výdobytkom pokrokového sveta. V článku je zvýraznený paštunský fenomén afgansko–pakistanského pohraničia, ktorý do značnej miery predurčuje aj súčasnú patovú situáciu v Afganistane. Pôvodné ambiciózne ciele medzinárodného spoločenstva v otázke riešenia afganskej otázky sa nedarí plniť v predpokladanom rozsahu a termínoch. Paštuni sú ako väčšinová sila povstaleckého hnutia Taliban opäť v centre pozornosti. Pokiaľ má mať riešenie afganského konfliktu zmysluplný výsledok, bez participácie paštunského etnika a Talibanu to nebude možné.
