Liberalizačné tendencie v oblasti služieb v súčasnosti

Abstract

Liberalizácia medzinárodného obchodu patrí medzi najdôležitejšie úlohy v súčasnom svetovom hospodárstve. Článok dáva krátky pohľad na teoretické a praktické aspekty liberalizácie medzinárodného obchodu so zreteľom na Všeobecnú dohodu o obchode so službami – GATS. Táto zmluva je jedným z výsledkov uruguajského kola rokovaní GATT, jej prijatie je však veľmi kontroverzné. Najväčšie obavy zo zmluvy GATS majú rozvojové štáty, ktoré sa obávajú o dominanciu nadnárodných korporácií vo svojich národných sektoroch služieb. GATS sa preto stal dôležitou otázkou súčasného kola rokovaní v rámci WTO a jej implementácia je najmä zo strany rozvojových štátov viac než opatrná.
