Teória optimálnej menovej oblasti a jej vplyv na menovú integráciu

Abstract

Príspevok sa snaží zodpovedať pomerne náročnú otázku – koľko by malo byť používaných mien v jednom regióne prostredníctvom teórie optimálnej menovej oblasti (ďalej len OCA, z anglického Optimum Currency Area). Teória OCA zohľadňuje dlhodobý pohľad a cez svoje teoretické základy nám pomáha porozumieť niektorým hlavným problémom menovej integrácie. Príspevok tiež objasňuje tri základné kritéria teórie – mobilitu výrobných faktorov, diverzifikáciu produkcie a otvorenosť ekonomiky. Hlavné podmienky vstupu do eurozóny sú samozrejme Maastrichtské kritéria a ich plnenie, ale, ako sa príspevok snaží dokázať, aj teória OCA a jej kritéria, ktoré sú pre monetárnu integráciu rovnako dôležité. Posledná časť článku sa zaoberá situáciou v Slovenskej a Českej republike.
