Medzinárodné dôsledky vzostupu somálskeho námorného pirátstva

Abstract

Cieľom príspevku je poukázať na medzinárodný rozmer dopadov problému somálskeho pirátstva, ktoré je v súčasnosti hlavným determinantom vývoja globálneho námorného pirátstva. Dospievame k záveru, že základné medzinárodné dôsledky expanzie somálskeho pirátstva možno identifikovať predovšetkým v negatívnom vplyve na námornú prepravu v podobe vzniku dodatočných nákladov súvisiacich s výkupným, zadržiavaním lode a tovaru, zvýšeným poistným a presmerovaním námorných ciest, čo má priame následky pre medzinárodný obchod. Závažnosť problému zdôrazňujú tiež environmentálne dopady, opatrenia medzinárodného spoločenstva ako aj makroekonomické a bezpečnostné dopady na štáty v regióne ohrozenom operáciami somálskych pirátov, ale aj mimo neho.
