Európska dimenzia riešenia problematiky rómskej minority

Abstract

Sociálna exklúzia a marginalizácia určitých skupín obyvateľstva je aj v kontexte aktuálnej hospodárskej a finančnej krízy jedným z najpálčivejších problémov Európskej únie. Dlhodobo viacnásobne marginalizovanou skupinou obyvateľstva sú Rómovia1 - príslušníci najväčšej európskej menšiny. Článok sa zaoberá rozborom príčin marginalizácie Rómov vyplývajúcich z historického, kultúrneho a politického vývoja, ako aj súčasnou situáciou Rómskej komunity v Európe a úlohou medzinárodných inštitúcií tvoriacich v spolupráci s národnými aktérmi základ pre európsku dimenziu riešenia problematiky rómskej minority.
