Abstract

In diesem Beitrag wird die Entwicklung der Tiny House Bewegung und ihre Rolle im Tourismus dargestellt. Er zeigt gesellschaftliche und touristische Trends auf, die die wachsende Relevanz von Tiny Houses im Tourismus erklären. Diskutiert wird eine Klassifikation der Tiny Houses innerhalb verschiedener Unterkunftsformen. Fallbeispiele von Tiny Houses als Urlaubsangebote zeigen mögliche Anwendungen im Tourismus auf. Eine ergänzende empirische Studie konzentriert sich auf Vermieter von Tiny Houses und ihre Gäste in Deutschland. Sie untersucht das Angebot touristischer Tiny Houses und geht der Frage nach, welche Zielgruppen mit welchen Motiven angesprochen werden.
