Abstract

Der Westweg im Schwarzwald ist Deutschlands ältester Fernwanderweg und erfreut sich bei in- und ausländischen Gästen großer Beliebtheit. Diese dokumentieren nicht nur die physische Anstrengung des Wanderns, sondern vielfach auch die landschaftliche Ästhetik des Schwarzwaldes u. a. mithilfe von Instagram-Posts. Solche Posts sind Ausdruck für die untrennbare Verflechtung von neuen Medien und Reiseerfahrungen im digitalen Zeitalter. Mit einem innovativen Analyseschema, das einen Zugang mittels quantitativer und qualitativer Methoden umfasst, wird exemplarisch für den #westweg aufgezeigt, wie digital repräsentierte Wandererfahrungen wissenschaftlich erfasst und analysiert werden können.
