Mobilität und Tourismus, ein Überblick über die Entwicklung in Österreich

Abstract

Mobilität und Tourismus hängen zusammen; insofern werden auch die Treibhausgas-Emissionen im Tourismus maßgeblich vom Verkehr verursacht, wobei das Ausmaß der Treibhausgas-Emissionen vom gewählten Verkehrsmittel bei der Anreise abhängt. Für die Anreise der Österreich-Urlaubenden dominiert der Pkw. In Österreich werden von Destinationen, von Landestourismusorganisationen und von ministerieller Seite seit einigen Jahren Maßnahmen gesetzt, den Umweltverbund bei der Anreise und für die Mobilität vor Ort zu stärken. Diese reichen vom Einsatz bedarfsorientierter Verkehre bis zur Stärkung der Bahnanreise.
