Wintertourismus in deutschen Mittelgebirgen und Mittelgebirgslagen im Kontext des Klimawandels

Abstract

Der Klimawandel stellt den Wintertourismus in Mittelgebirgen und Mittelgebirgslagen vor große Herausforderungen. Dieser Bericht stellt die Ergebnisse einer Untersuchung zur Wichtigkeit der Schneesicherheit für die Reiseentscheidung von Wintertouristen in diesen Regionen dar. Es zeigte sich, dass Skifahrer und Snowboarder (zusammen 45 Prozent der Befragten) der Schneesicherheit die größte Wichtigkeit beigemessen haben, für die anderen Gäste war die Schneesicherheit nicht reiseentscheidend. Mit zunehmendem Alter nahm die Wichtigkeit der Schneesicherheit ab und für einen weiteren Besuch in diesen Regionen wurde die Schneesicherheit selten als reiseentscheidend genannt. Demzufolge können bei entsprechender Anpassung des Angebotes an die Klimaentwicklung und zukünftige Gästebedürfnisse Mittelgebirge auch weiterhin im Winter attraktive Reiseziele darstellen.
