Abstract

type="main" xml:lang="en"> This article provides an introduction to an estimation strategy called ‘regression discontinuity’. It presents basic and intuitive insights into the concepts and theory underlying the research design and presents results from an existing empirical study to enhance understanding of the key elements of regression discontinuity designs.
