Use of blockchain in public administration: transformation of technological opportunities

Abstract

The article explores the use of blockchain in public administration using the latest technologies and its potential to improve the efficiency, transparency and security of governance processes. Real examples of the use of blockchain in public administration are considered. Blockchain is a powerful tool that can provide transparency, reliability and efficiency in the administration of public processes. The author analyzes the possibilities of blockchain in the context of electronic voting, citizen data management, transport systems, identification and registration, supply management, social services, land management systems, administrative services and the fight against corruption. The potential benefits of using blockchain in data management in the public sector are considered, with a focus on protecting privacy and access to information. Attention is drawn to the challenges that arise when implementing blockchain in public administration, such as legal aspects, scalability and speed, as well as the need for cultural changes and adoption of new technologies. In conclusion, the paper identifies the importance of using blockchain in the public sector to ensure privacy protection and access to information and calls for further research and collaboration between government agencies, the public sector and the public for successful implementation. The conclusions drawn can serve as a basis for the development of strategies and recommendations for the implementation of blockchain in public administration in order to improve its efficiency and ensure citizens' trust in public bodies. The article highlights the importance of blockchain research, planning and implementation in public administration to improve the quality of public services and promote more open and efficient governance in accordance with the needs of citizens and society.
