Abstract

Ethical business conduct is becoming an important factor in the modern development of a company in the internal and external business environment. Therefore, the research of problematic aspects of international business ethics in Ukraine in the context of European integration is becoming increasingly relevant. The purpose of the study is to analyse the problems of ethics of international business in Ukraine and to develop recommendations for improving the level of ethics and corporate social responsibility of Ukrainian companies in the context of European integration. To achieve this goal, a number of general scientific and special research methods were used, interrelated and consistently applied in the work : the method of abstraction, analysis and synthesis, induction and deduction, theoretical generalisation, graphical and analytical method, and system analysis. The article reveals the need to comply with ethical standards in international business, especially in the context of deepening European integration; identifies the approaches of companies to sets of ethical principles; and considers the types of codes of ethics for business entities. The authors analyse the external and internal problems of international business ethics in Ukraine and provide recommendations on the main ways of solving these problems in the direction of improving the level of ethics and corporate social responsibility of Ukrainian companies, taking into account the basic principles of the European Union's code of ethics. These examples of ethical imperatives, such as honesty, mutual respect, trust, due diligence in concluding contracts, adherence to the principles of transparency, responsibility and voluntary compliance with the law, serve as guidelines for building a model of company behaviour and making business decisions.
