The establishment of the creative economy in Ukraine taking into account the experience of european countries

The article highlights the principles of the creation of a creative economy in Ukraine, taking into account the experience of European countries. The creative economy requires the support of creative, creative individuals capable of generating new, innovative and creative ideas. The concept of the formation of the creative economy can be considered as a direction of post-industrial development, economic activity based on knowledge and intellectual and creative activity, and as economic development of creative industries. The creative sector should include cultural heritage, art, media, and functional creativity. The main features of the creative economy are continuous innovative development, which increases the value of intellectual capital; investment in human capital, new goods, technologies, services; growth of the share of knowledge-intensive and innovative products in the country’s GDP; increasing the competitiveness of subjects and the country as a whole due to innovativeness; deepening of specialization and cooperation of scientific, technical and innovative activities; increasing security and establishing clear mechanisms for the protection of intellectual property objects and copyrights. The experience of European countries proves the need to introduce programs for the development of the creative sector, taking into account existing potential opportunities and creating a network of creative platforms. The world experience of the development of the creative economy serves as an example for building one’s own model of the development of creative sectors, taking into account the peculiarities of the regions and the existing potential of the country. In order to intensify the development of the creative sector in Ukraine, it is necessary to: increase the awareness of the population regarding the importance of the creative sector and innovativeness of the economic development; to increase the activity of the management of regions and local authorities in the direction of supporting creativity in various spheres of activity; to ensure at the legislative level mechanisms for activating the support of the creative sector; increase the legal protection of copyright.
