The main condition for employment of the population living in a certain area is the level of development of social production in general and in individual areas and industries. This is due to the nature of social production, which is possible only if the interaction of living and tangible labor, combining different options for combining factors of production. The purpose of this article is to research of conditions and factors of formation of employment of the population of rural territories of Odessa region, the tendencies of its development are substantiated. An important condition for employment of residents of rural areas of Odessa region is the presence of complete higher, vocational, incomplete higher and basic higher education. The highest level of employment is observed in the age group 35-49. The highest employment is observed among those who have a diploma of complete higher education (85%), in second place - college graduates (79.2%), in third place - graduates of vocational schools. Holders of diplomas of higher education (full and basic) ensure the functioning of social infrastructure of the village - schools, kindergartens (nurseries), district hospitals and medical and obstetric centers, etc., and are the heads of local enterprises. Instead, graduates of colleges and vocational schools work in the employment of workers - electricians, mechanics, builders, drivers, mechanics, etc., and in the retail network. The success of the development of the rural area of Odessa region, the level of employment and living of those who live in it depends not only on the quantitative parameters of the development of local production, agricultural and non-agricultural, social infrastructure and more. Crucial is the quality of management staff of the respective OTGs, cohesion, organization and determination of their residents, the ability to conduct a complex dialogue in the contour "rural community - local business representatives - district authorities".
