Sermaye Yapisi ve Firma Performansı Iliskisi: BIST Otomotiv Sektoru Uzerine Ampirik Bir Calisma

Abstract

Payları 2009-2018 yillari arasinda Borsa Istanbul’da islem goren otomotiv sektorundeki 11 sirketin incelendigi bu calismada amac; sirketlerin sermaye yapisi ile aktif karlilik ve oz sermaye karliliklari arasındaki iliskiyi test etmektir. Calismada kullanilan veriler Kamuyu Aydinlatma Platformu’ndan (KAP) alinmistir. Calisma verileri yatay kesit ve zaman serilerinden olustugu icin panel veri analizi yontemi tercih edilmistir. Yapilan testler sonucunda, panel veri analizi varsayimlarından olan sabit etkiler modeli tahmincisinin kullanilmasına karar verilmistir. Calismada bagimli degisken olarak sermaye yapisi kullanilirken aktif karlilik (ROA) ve oz sermaye karliligi (ROE) ise bagimsiz degiskenler olarak tercih edilmistir. Yapilan tum testlerden elde edilen bulgular sonucunda ise, sermaye yapisi ile aktif karlilik ve öz sermaye karliligi arasinda negatif ve anlamli bir iliski elde edilmistir
