Encuesta a las empresas españolas sobre la evolución de su actividad: primer trimestre de 2024

Abstract

Motivación La Encuesta del Banco de España sobre la Actividad Empresarial (EBAE) permite extraer, en tiempo real, información muy valiosa acerca de la facturación, el empleo y los precios pagados y cobrados por una muestra amplia de empresas españolas, lo que proporciona una contribución muy relevante al diagnóstico de la situación coyuntural de la economía. Ideas principales •Las empresas perciben un descenso de la facturación en el primer trimestre de 2024, aunque con una elevada heterogeneidad sectorial. •Los resultados muestran, a escala agregada, una evolución más negativa de la actividad inversora en el primer trimestre del año tanto respecto al trimestre anterior como respecto a lo que esperaban las empresas hace tres meses para este trimestre. •La actividad empresarial continúa viéndose afectada por la incertidumbre sobre la política económica —que se mantiene como principal factor condicionante— y por una creciente preocupación por las dificultades para encontrar mano de obra —cuya incidencia está asociada a mayores aumentos esperados en los costes laborales—, mientras que recientemente habría sufrido también el impacto de las tensiones geopolíticas que tienen lugar en el mar Rojo.
