Evolución económica reciente de las pymes españolas y de su acceso a la financiación externa de acuerdo con la encuesta semestral del BCE

Abstract

Motivación El Acuerdo de París de 2015 representa un punto clave en el esfuerzo internacional para combatir el cambio climático. Bajo este contexto, y como consecuencia de la adaptación de las entidades de crédito, es importante analizar el impacto sobre la financiación a las empresas. El Acuerdo de París de 2015 es una de las primeras iniciativas que persigue fomentar la transición a una economía más verde y, por lo tanto, reducir las emisiones de dióxido de carbono (CO2). Los resultados de este artículo muestran que las empresas más contaminantes parecen haber experimentado una cierta reducción en la financiación procedente de las entidades de crédito españolas entre 2014 y 2019. La evidencia presentada también sugiere que los bancos más expuestos al riesgo climático habrían reducido durante dicho período la oferta de crédito a las empresas que operan en los sectores más contaminantes con el fin de reducir este riesgo. No obstante, estos efectos son cuantitativamente moderados.
