La evolución reciente del coste de capital bancario europeo

Abstract

En este artículo se analiza la evolución del coste de capital (CoE, por sus siglas en inglés) bancario en España y el área del euro desde 2007, poniendo el foco, particularmente, en el período de la pandemia del Covid-19. En marzo de 2020 se produjo un aumento importante del CoE, que remitió en los meses siguientes. En el artículo se estudian los factores responsables de esta evolución, que se compara con la de los tipos de interés de instrumentos alternativos de financiación bancaria.
