Perspectivas de la economía mundial para 2019

Abstract

La debilidad reciente de la economía mundial ha dado lugar a una revisión a la baja de las perspectivas para 2019. El escenario central de previsiones apunta a una moderación generalizada del crecimiento, aunque con diferencias de intensidad por áreas, en un entorno de elevada incertidumbre e importantes riesgos a la baja. Entre ellos, destacan la posible proliferación de medidas proteccionistas, una salida desordenada y sin acuerdo del Reino Unido de la UE, una desaceleración más intensa de lo esperado en China o en el área del euro, o un ajuste severo en los mercados financieros. Cualquiera de estos eventos —o una combinación de ellos— tendría un impacto sobre la economía mundial, que podría llegar a ser significativo, en un contexto en el que las políticas de estabilización macroeconómica tienen un margen de actuación limitado.
