La Balanza de Pagos y la Posición de Inversión Internacional de España en 2017

Abstract

Según la estadística de la Balanza de Pagos, la economía española volvió a presentar capacidad de financiación en 2017, a pesar del ascenso del precio del petróleo y del empuje de la demanda nacional. A ello contribuyeron factores de naturaleza previsiblemente transitoria, como los reducidos tipos de interés, y otros de carácter permanente, relacionados, principalmente, con la ampliación del número de empresas exportadoras y las ganancias acumuladas de competitividad en los últimos años. La Posición de Inversión Internacional (PII) deudora neta de la economía española, en términos del PIB, volvió a reducirse por tercer año consecutivo (hasta el 80,8 %), ya que la capacidad de financiación que presentó la nación y la expansión del PIB compensaron el impacto negativo que los efectos de valoración y otros ajustes tuvieron sobre la PII neta.
