Vinculando ciencia y gestión en biodiversidad: Diseño de Monitoreo de aves y reptiles en los valles del rio Ica y Grande en la Reserva Nacional San Fernando

Abstract

Se realizaron evaluaciones de las comunidades de aves y reptiles de los valles del río Ica y Grande en la Reserva Nacional San Fernando (RNSF) entre diciembre 2021-mayo 2022. Se emplearon Puntos de Conteo (PC) para evaluar las aves y Visual Encounter Survey (VES) para los reptiles. Se realizaron 155 PC y 420 VES. Se registraron 67 especies de aves (migratorias, marinas y terrestres) y 9 especie de reptiles (7 saurios, 2 serpientes). Se registraron especies de aves y reptiles en las listas de conservación nacional e internacional, por tanto, deben se priorizadas en la gestión de la RNSF. Se elaboró un protocolo de monitoreo de aves y reptiles que servirá como insumo específico-estandarizado para posteriores evaluaciones de la RNSF. Investigación ganadora del Concurso de Becas SERNANP para investigaciones en Áreas Naturales Protegidas, realizado en alianza estratégica con el Fondo de Promoción de las Áreas Naturales Protegidas del Perú (Profonanpe) y el Consorcio de Investigación Económica y Social (CIES)
