Percepciones de involucrados en la lucha contra la trata, sus vínculos con la minería ilegal y barreras para combatirla en Madre de Dios

Abstract

“La Pampa” es una zona ubicada en la región Madre de Dios conocida por la minería ilegal aurífera y la trata de personas con fines de explotación sexual. Ambos fenómenos tienen una ligazón profunda importante de analizar. Para ello, el estudio abordó las percepciones de servidores públicos y expertos involucrados en combatir la trata de personas. Desde su percepción, ambas son economías deshumanizadas que valoran las ganancias y minimizan la afectación a los derechos humanos y el medio ambiente. El nexo entre los fenómenos está naturalizado, responsabilizando individualizadamente al “machismo” y a las propias mujeres que supuestamente “quieren estar ahí”. En consecuencia, se prioriza un enfoque punitivista por encima de la justicia reparadora que promovería cambios a la precariedad socioeconómica de las víctimas.
