Mesas de Diálogo, Inversión Pública y Desarrollo Local, 2004-2019

Abstract

El objetivo principal de nuestra investigación es evaluar el efecto de las mesas de diálogo de los conflictos sociales (MDD) en el desarrollo local. Asimismo, como parte de este análisis, exploramos cómo afectan los roles de género a la toma de decisiones sobre el gasto público a nivel local a través de la participación de mujeres en la gestión municipal y en las MDD. Nuestra investigación está alineada con hasta cuatro áreas de investigación CIES: desarrollo regional y descentralización (Área II), pobreza y distribución del ingreso (Área VIII), gestión ambiental, de recursos naturales y acción climática (Área IX), y desarrollo rural (Área X). En particular, se hace hincapié en la primera de las agendas, en su acápite Dimensión Geográfica de los Recursos Naturales, plantea las preguntas “¿Cuál es el rol del estado y cuál es el rol de la empresa privada en el mejor aprovechamiento de esos recursos para el bienestar del país? [...] ¿Cuánto beneficia a cada región o localidad la mayor actividad extractiva o productiva centrada en recursos naturales?” La presente investigación es un proyecto ganador del XXIV Concurso Anual de Investigación 2021 - II, con recursos propios y con el auspicio de la Fundación Manuel J. Bustamante de la Fuente, el Fondo Fiduciario de la ONU para Eliminar la Violencia contra la Mujer y la Fundación Nacional para la Democracia (NED, por sus siglas en inglés).
