Desplegando resiliencia: agricultura familiar y seguridad alimentaria en contexto de COVID-19

Abstract

La crisis del Covid en la agricultura familiar implica un shock con efectos importantes sobre hogares agropecuarios y sistemas alimentarios; sin embargo, en el Perú no contamos aún con narrativas sobre esta experiencia. En la investigación se analiza estrategias de agricultoras y agricultores familiares frente al shock de la crisis del Covid-19 en tres segmentos del sistema alimentario de la ciudad de Huancayo en Perú. Los productores participan en una red interdependiente, siendo los circuitos agroecológicos y programas de compras públicas los que han permitido manejar mejor los efectos de la crisis. Además, las estrategias desplegadas indican que los productores familiares han sido resilientes, pero a costos muy altos. Este estudio se desarrolló como resultado del XXII Concurso Anual de Investigación CIES 2020, con el auspicio de la Fundación Manuel J. Bustamante de la Fuente, el Fondo Fiduciario de la ONU para Eliminar la Violencia contra la Mujer (ONU Mujeres), el Centro Internacional de Investigaciones para el Desarrollo (IDRC, por sus siglas en inglés) y el Consorcio de Investigación Económica y Social (CIES).
