Hacia un clúster minero en el sur del Perú

Abstract

La consolidación de un clúster minero es uno temas pendientes relacionados con la actividad minera peruana. Ello requiere del establecimiento de factores de competitividad que incluyan un adecuado capital humano, infraestructura, proveedores y acceso a financiamiento, entre otros; así como de una permanente cooperación e interacción entre diversos grupos de interés. Este proceso se inició formal, aunque parcialmente, en el 2018 para la zona sur del Perú, debido a su actual y futura importancia en la producción cuprífera. Como parte de ello, el desarrollo de proveedores, a partir del fomento de un ecosistema de innovación permitirá a las empresas mineras ser más productivas y eficientes, y también a expandir sus beneficios, lo cual ayuda a mejorar la imagen y percepción de la minería. Se analiza el estado de situación del este ecosistema gestándose y brinda recomendaciones de acciones y política que permitan consolidarlo, contribuyendo así a la construcción del clúster. El estudio se realizó gracias al auspicio de la Cooperación Alemana implementada por la Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ).
