Seguridad ciudadana. Balance de Investigación en Políticas Públicas 2011-2016 y Agenda de Investigación 2017-2021

Abstract

Esta investigación forma parte del capítulo 1 del libro Balance de investigación en políticas públicas 2011-2016 y agenda de investigación 2017-2021. Tiene como primer objetivo hacer un balance de la investigación producida entre los años 2011 y 2016, en el Perú o sobre el Perú, en alguna de las áreas relacionadas a la seguridad ciudadana. Tiene dos límites: la investigación científica (indizada en buscadores científicos especializados) es escasa, aun cuando hay una importante producción de informes y datos públicos y de la sociedad civil; la búsqueda excluye investigaciones que han impactado en la política criminal y la política de seguridad ciudadana que han sido publicadas en años anteriores al periodo de registro. El segundo objetivo es establecer una agenda de investigación básica sobre los diversos temas relacionados a la seguridad ciudadana. A pesar de que los temas asociados a la seguridad ciudadana y el crimen están presentes entre los asuntos de interés más importantes para la ciudadanía y los funcionarios estatales, no hay un correlato en el desarrollo de las investigaciones y de la especialización, sino solo de algunos pocos grupos y centros de investigación o áreas de concentración sobre el tema en el Perú. El estudio contó con el financiamiento de Global Affairs Canada (GAC) y el Centro Internacional de Investigaciones para el Desarrollo (IDRC, por sus siglas en inglés).
