Financial crowdfunding, a new tool for Smes

Abstract

Technological innovation and the financial crisis have accelerated the development of financial crowdfunding. On the one hand, the tightening of traditional sources of credit; on the other hand, the connection between borrowers and lenders is becoming progressively easier and faster. However, the lack of a specific regulation of financial crowdfunding, agreed at the international level and in the European context, may prevent its consolidation, making investors perceive the risks rather than the benefits
