Cavity wall tie failure

Abstract

This paper provides a brief synopsis of the problem of failed wall ties within cavity walls, including the signs of wall tie failure, causes and results, and remedial solutions. It also examines the reasons why wall tie failure is no longer so common in modern buildings.
