Abstract

This paper provides a simple guide and reminder on the process for awards and appeals under the Party Wall Etc. Act 19961 (the Act). It also provides a brief update on some recent case law concerning party walls. It is aimed at all users of party wall procedures under the Act, whether they be party wall surveyors or building owners and adjoining owners. Lawyers who do not specialise in party walls may also find it helpful, as a brief distillation of some important cases.
