Application of Corporate Social Responsibility in the hospitality sector: the case of The Gran Hotel Don Manuel

Abstract

The aim of this paper was to determine the orientation degree towards Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and the CSR measures carried out by Gran Hotel Don Manuel (located in Caceres, Spain). Thus, an interview to the hotel manager was conducted. Different indicators of the scale proposed by Gallardo et al (2013) were followed in it. The main conclusion is that the company has a high degree of orientation towards CSR, although it could be improved with the appropriate policies.
