Ensuring food security: barriers, initiatives, perspectives in transboundary ecosystems

Abstract

The article presents the results of an analysis of the challenges and barriers to the sustainable development of the agro-industrial complex faced by Russia and the national agribusiness in March-June 2022. Aim: to investigate the evolution of market processes for ensuring food security as an element of Russian national security; the dynamics of world food prices, trends in the production and sale of agricultural products in all categories of farms of the Russian Federation, changes in the metrics of food availability for the population of Russia and the Omsk region. Methods: in order to systematize knowledge, a system of regulatory principles, techniques and methods of statistical analysis, synthesis, intelligent data analysis and comparison methods was used. Results. The prospects for the development of the regional agri-food market as part of the cross-border economic agricultural ecosystem are justified. Conclusions. Recommendations were given on the development of cooperation between Russia and friendly countries on agricultural trade and food security in transboundary ecosystems.
