Abstract

This study presents an update of the institutional quality measures available for the Italian case. In partic-ular, our survey collects 16 indicators drawn from the most recent works that aim to measure the quality of institutions and/or public administrations at the local level. Using these indicators, the work summariz-es the main methodological issues for the measurement of this concept, and provides a descriptive frame-work of the institutional quality in the national and international comparison
