Quality Of Agricultural Sector Employment - Opportunity Or Challenge

Technological innovation, the processes of globalization, demographic change and the Kovid-19 pandemic, which have shaped the labor market over the last decade, are also having an impact on the agricultural sector. There is a more flexible approach to resources, including human resources, transformation in the nature of work and work organization, changes in the welfare of workers, which in turn provokes the interest of scientists and politicians in the quality of employment in the sector. The purpose of this article is to study the state of the labor market in agriculture and to consider the specifics in terms of the concept of employment quality. Statistical data are analyzed, various theoretical concepts are considered. As a result, a definition and model of employment quality are proposed, as well as a model of the process for increasing it. The answer to the question why the quality of employment is important for the agricultural business is answered. It is concluded that the concept of employment quality is oriented to the interests of workers and employers and society as a whole. Quality employment is a necessary condition for improving labor productivity and worker welfare.
