Abstract

The grid communication is an obligatory affiliate, which is required for providing essential information exchange facilities among the grid devices. To assure an effective communication process, traffic transmission controlling is necessary because the deploying of grid devices would produce huge amount of data. In this paper, we have designed a traffic transmission scheme with proposed Intelligent Smart Grid Access Point (ISGAP), which can neutralize traffic burst phenomenon. Our theoretical simulation result shows that ISGAP and its traffic transmission controlling scheme can potentially work with Bursty Traffic (BT) as well as optimize traffic in transmission process and utilize bandwidth efficiently. We have also presented a cellular network based smart grid architecture, where our proposed ISGAP can execute its intelligent traffic controlling and transmitting functions.
