Abstract

The paper aims to highlight the role of small and medium enterprises as a strategic choice in achieving sustainable development, with high and great expectations in this field. In view of the changes that have taken place in the global economic scene, they have taken a leading role in supporting development efforts. Like other countries, Algeria has adopted a new policy of small and medium-sized enterprises as the appropriate model for sustainable local development, which is the cornerstone of economic development. The process of supporting and developing such institutions is therefore one of the most important pillars of sustainable development.
