Abstract

Trade cooperation between Russia and China is comprehensive, pervades all major areas of customs affairs, and opens up new opportunities and ways to further strengthen the cooperation between customs administrations. With the introduction of information and communication technologies (automation, digitalization, electronic database systems and their mutual use), countries’ customs services have the opportunity to improve the efficiency of customs clearance and control of goods, reduce customs risks and bureaucratic burden on trade participants. In this regard, highlighting the key areas of such cooperation, namely, the introduction of innovative methods of customs clearance and control is of particular importance. Currently, the sanctions imposed by unfriendly countries set the task for the Russia’s customs services to increase foreign trade turnover, simplify customs formalities and the administrative burden on business through the digital transformation of customs technologies. The issue under consideration determines the relevance of the study, the purpose of which is the need to develop a program for the introduction of innovative technologies in the practice of customs cooperation between Russia and China, and assess its impact on the deepening of bilateral trade.
