Imports of containers within the Eurasian Economic Union: peculiarities of customs processing

Abstract

The article is devoted to the issues of moving containers across the customs borders within the Eurasian Economic Union. The definitions of containers for the purposes of customs declaration and application of customs procedures are studied. Customs operations for importing containers to the Eurasian Economic Union are considered. Features of customs processing and types of necessary documents are highlighted. Customs requirements for the use of containers in international cargo transportation are disclosed. The provisions of the Customs Code of the Eurasian Economic Union and decisions of the Eurasian economic commission on the terms and restrictions of temporary import of containers are analyzed.
